Individual therapy is a process of working with people who have different needs. The goal is to understand yourself, your emotions, patterns of behaviour and relationships, and then to work on change that improves your quality of life - all depending on the individual needs of the client.
Psychotherapy involves regular meetings during which therapist and client together identify reaction patterns, inner conflicts and existing ways of coping with emotional difficulties. During the initial consultation we will decide which of the patient's goals to focus on.
A standard therapy session lasts 50 minutes. Sometimes the first visit is longer than subsequent sessions.
Prices start from 180 PLN. The exact price depends on the chosen therapist and session type (online or in-person). Current pricing is available on each therapist's profile.
Yes! Most of our therapists offer both online sessions (via Google Meet) and in-person meetings at our Warsaw office. An online session is just as effective as an in-person meeting. You can book even today - no referral is needed.
We typically recommend weekly sessions. Over time, as you progress, frequency can be adjusted to your needs, for example to bi-weekly sessions. Keep in mind that this is a long process, usually lasting a dozen or so months or longer.
You don't need any special preparation. The first session is primarily a conversation in which the therapist will learn about your history, needs and expectations. You can think about what you'd like to change in your life, but it's not required.
It depends on the patient's needs. Humanistic-experiential therapies focus on self-awareness, agency and life satisfaction. We also offer CBT, which focuses on problem-coping strategies. In the psychodynamic approach, the relationship between therapist and client is central. Psychodynamic (or psychoanalytic) therapies focus on unconscious conflicts and childhood experiences (including traumas). The systemic approach focuses on relationships with people and the immediate environment, while solution-focused brief therapy is a short-term approach. The choice of approach depends solely on availability and the patient's capabilities and needs. Of course, you can contact us if you don't know how to choose a good psychotherapist or approach.
